Do you think Jagex monitors your gametime?

Recommended Posts

So I've been wondering about this for quite awhile: Does Jagex really look at how much you play, and then make a judgement out of it?

Will they flag you if you are just 24/7'ing this game?

Personally I really don't know, but I believe that they actually don't look at that at all. I just believe that you have a higher chance of getting banned because you are playing more = more people are seeing you.

Have you guys tried running some 24/7 suicide bots, then compared them to bots with breaks?

I really have no idea what is better for goldfarming.

Thanks :)

I believe I overheard someone talking about this. JaGex takes into account

-How new the account is

-How long it's been online

-Using Age Verification when you sign up, school/uni hours

-Where you're staying

-The amount of times you log out

-The amount of talking time

Don't quote me on that, but no-one actually knows how JaGex bans you, the only way to know is to get a JMod or Jacmob to tell you, as he is the one who designed the BotWatch in 2012. (Jacmob used to be RSBot/Powerbot and RSBuddy bot coder before MMG hired him as a JaGex employee to combat the bots)

  • 2 weeks later...

they actually do monitor your game time. I'm assuming this is how you get banned for botting, because I have recently gotten a 3 day ban for moderate botting. They check your game time and if it is constantly on the high, lets say 12-18 hours a day, there's increased surveillance over your account. Eventually their antibot system will catch it.

P.S I botted on my account for 4 months 4-6 hours a day and nothing happend. I wanted to see what would happen if i botted 12+ hours using the exact same script and boom, after 3 days i got a ban.

In my opinion no.  Playing more increasing the likely hood you will be banned because there is higher risk of being reported or a mod coming by.  If I use a script that doesn't get banned easily I can run it for 24 hours aday weeks on end.  I ran 8 cosmic bots last year for 24 hours a day for about 3 months, and eventually I got banned because I started to run 5 more clay scripts which got me a chain ban (i didnt use proxies or vps at the time which would avoid the problem).

EDIT: on the otherhand, jagex can detect bots effectively with certain things, like rock crabs for example.  i bot rock crabs for 5 mins then immediately im put into world 385 for being suspected of botting.

      Hey TRiBot community!

Saturday we'll be giving away 3 prizes on Facebook. Stay tuned for the contest post on our Facebook Page where we are regularly posting memes, updates, botting tips and most importantly.. memes (I know I said that already but stealing memes from the OSRS meme groups is just too much fun).
This contest is all treats and no tricks. Just follow the rules (like the page while you're there, alright?)
      That is all.
      Happy Botting!

Hello, I'm looking to start a joint venture with someone (preferably experienced) to start botting OSRS on a large scale. I used to bot instagram with hundreds of accounts using CPA until they cracked down hard on bots in recent times. Ive botted OSRS in the past but I want to take it to the next level.
We can pool our resources together and start making money together with your methods. Or you could teach me your methods and I will give you a percentage of the profits that I make while botting. I know the basics, I have plenty of free time to bot (all day and night) and I have plenty of cash to scale it up quickly. So if you are interested in working with me feel free to contact me on here or on discord via my username Maglincer#1280.
      Thanks for reading!

Hey guys, I'm facing some problems with my Debian 8 VPS, currently I'm not able to install Java 8, I was using this as reference https://tecadmin.net/install-java-8-on-debian/ but as it says "IMPORTANT: Java 8 is no longer available to download publically. You can use below link to install Java 11."  Java 8 can't be downloaded anymore, so I tried to use Java 11, but TRiBot doesn't work with it.
      Anyone can have with this?
I'll give more info if required.

I think I may have figured out a technique used by the software botwatch they may look at a new account since the new account is at an extremely low ranking of several 100,000 if you continuously train on that account including other methods it uses to detect it must go by ranks as the most primary method of finding and flagging new accounts that are being botted.

This also concerns mains that are botted let's say if you go over an increase of 80,000+ ranks in 24 hours. Then the botWatch system flags or account for a mod to look at.

I suggest tracking you account closely on CrystalMathlabs and watch your ranking. I would suggest that you stay under the 30,000 rank increase in any given skill

**EDIT This is purely thought based, noone knows how the botwatch programme detects botters.

      Howdy All
Currently attempting to bot for the first time and using a premium hunter script, striving for that 99 and right now sitting on 84 =-) I feel i am careful when i come to botting my character, i mainly watch my botting screen because i play my other two accounts as normal|<< nerdy i know. so i am able to reply to all who speak to me within moments, along with having break handler set up and every now and again mouse clicking around the screen to change my mouse data patterns around.
I ask this because of course 99 Hunter is great money, id much more envy the fashionscape of the 99 hunter cape and would onward play the character manually and level combat for a edge 13 pray g maul pker, noob life i know but sue me.
Will i get to live out this little account dream set up or is it most likely in the end most botted accounts lose the battle against jagex =p
If anyone has any info inside on the matter would be awesome if you discussed below.
      Happy botting <3 hahah

UPDATE:  If anyone is curious .. I decided to maximize my value on the account and botted for a full day with breaks about 2 days after this post.  I picked up a permanent ban the next day.
      --

      Hello!

Has anyone had experience with botting after a temporary 48 hour ban?

Just curious if you went straight back to botting? - If so, did you end up getting a permanent ban?

Did you give your account time to cool down? - If so, how long, and have you had success botting on the account since?

Did you change up your methods? - ex, Play the account manually for a while before botting again? , Change the number of hours your bot?

If you are interested, I seemed to have picked up my ban after buying 10M gold for my lvl 59 account, then buying a membership and botting runecrafting for exp , along with leather tanning for profit.

      Hey Everyone!

I have been trying out many different methods for gold farming on OSRS with various degrees of success. I have some successful long term / higher level "safe" bots, and I have begun to experiment with "Suicide botting".
Just curious to know, with regards to gold farming, which option the community thinks is better / has had the best experience with?
      - High volume of suicide bots / low gp per hour tasks / low investment
      - High volume suicide bots / med - high gp per hour tasks / p2p with high initial gp investment to get started or high skill req
      - Long term focused bots following safe botting practices / med - high gp per hour targets / varying req / private or custom scripts
      - Long term focused bots following safe botting practices / low - high gp per hour targets / varying req / public scripts
      - EDIT:  Combination of the above methods for a balanced overall gold farming system

Let me know your thoughts! - No specifics related to your private botting tasks / methods required

    • TRiBot 12 Release Candidate

The TRiBot team has been hard at work creating the last major version of TRiBot before the TRiBot X release. We've noticed many problems with TRiBot 11 with a lot of users preferring TRiBot 10 over 11. We've heard you, so we took TRiBot 10, added the new features introduced with 11, introduced some other new things, and created TRiBot 12. So without further adieu, here's TRiBot 12.

    • Gradle is a build tool used to accelerate developer productivity.

We recently setup a Maven repository (TRiBot Central) to make it easier for scripters to create scripts. Check it out here: https://gitlab.com/trilez-software/tribot/tribot-central/-/packages

Furthermore, we've released a simple Gradle project to make it easy to run TRiBot and develop scripts for it. Check it out here: https://gitlab.com/trilez-software/tribot/tribot-gradle-launcher

The goals of TRiBot Central are to:

      Deliver updates to TRiBot faster

Better organize TRiBot's dependencies (AKA dependancies)

Make it easier to develop scripts for TRiBot

Make it easier to use and run TRiBot

Note: TRiBot won't be able to run scripts from within this project until TRiBot's next release.

    • Hi everyone,

I'd like to thank everyone for their patience in this transition period. Since last week, we've worked out the remaining bugs with this integration.

Some users have still been having issues with connecting their forums account to their Auth0 account. To resolve this, we've imported all forums accounts into Auth0.

Unfortunately, the accounts which were imported today were using an unsupported password hashing algorithm. Hence, random passwords were set during the import.

What does this mean for me?

If you've previously linked your forums account to your Auth0 account, you don't have to do anything. Nothing changes for you.

If you haven't logged in via our new login yet,

Try logging in with your forums email address and the last password you used

If you are unable to login, please use the "Forgot password" tool on the login page:
Follow the instructions to reset your password

    • Hello everyone,

Last week we tried to roll out Auth0 Login, but we lost that battle. Now it's time to win the war!

      Important changes

When logging into the client, you'll now have to enter your Auth0 account credentials instead of your forums credentials

Note: 2FA is still handled through your forums account (for the time being)

      Changes for existing users

You'll have to link your Auth0 account to your forums account here: https://tribot.org/forums/settings/login/?service=11

Auth0 accounts have been created for most existing users. Please use your forums email address and password to login.

      Important notes

Make sure to verify your email address upon creating a new Auth0 account

When we mention your Auth0 account, we mean your account used for auth.tribot.org as displayed below
