Do you think Jagex monitors your gametime?

So I've been wondering about this for quite awhile: Does Jagex really look at how much you play, and then make a judgement out of it?

Will they flag you if you are just 24/7'ing this game?

 

Personally I really don't know, but I believe that they actually don't look at that at all. I just believe that you have a higher chance of getting banned because you are playing more = more people are seeing you.

 

Have you guys tried running some 24/7 suicide bots, then compared them to bots with breaks?

I really have no idea what is better for goldfarming.

Depends on what you are doing. If Jagex doesn't have code that looks into runtime, then they are fools.

Kinda believe so, since every account I had on for 12+ hours a day would get banned, any less would be left unharmed.

-How long it's been online

-Using Age Verification when you sign up, school/uni hours

-Where you're staying

-The amount of times you log out

-The amount of talking time

 

Don't quote me on that, but no-one actually knows how JaGex bans you, the only way to know is to get a JMod or Jacmob to tell you, as he is the one who designed the BotWatch in 2012. (Jacmob used to be RSBot/Powerbot and RSBuddy bot coder before MMG hired him as a JaGex employee to combat the bots)

When big banwaves struck bots in 2012..maybe 2011, they released the game time of the top 5 or so. The best one had nearly 365 days. So, yeah, they do monitor it but sure as hell don't ban you for high hours.

dam jagex may do some of those stuff but comon some of it is extreme

They do. They just released data on players average play-time.

they actually do monitor your game time. I'm assuming this is how you get banned for botting, because I have recently gotten a 3 day ban for moderate botting. They check your game time and if it is constantly on the high, lets say 12-18 hours a day, there's increased surveillance over your account. Eventually their antibot system will catch it.

 

P.S I botted on my account for 4 months 4-6 hours a day and nothing happend. I wanted to see what would happen if i botted 12+ hours using the exact same script and boom, after 3 days i got a ban.

In my opinion no.  Playing more increasing the likely hood you will be banned because there is higher risk of being reported or a mod coming by.  If I use a script that doesn't get banned easily I can run it for 24 hours aday weeks on end.  I ran 8 cosmic bots last year for 24 hours a day for about 3 months, and eventually I got banned because I started to run 5 more clay scripts which got me a chain ban (i didnt use proxies or vps at the time which would avoid the problem). 

EDIT: on the otherhand, jagex can detect bots effectively with certain things, like rock crabs for example.  i bot rock crabs for 5 mins then immediately im put into world 385 for being suspected of botting.

They can, however they can't for every player.

 

They monitor the top players, they announced somewhere recently the amount of hours SUOMI, Jake and others play approximately each day.

 

Also your total gameplay is recorded and displayed in your adventurer log, therefore I'm sure they could monitor you if they wanted.

believe it or not, but i have played even legitmately more than 24 hours IN ROW.

 

and now i dont want to even start discussing about botting. Thats what bots are for.. for botting! jesus.

Their ban systems definitely take more than just playtime into account. Playing legit 24/7 for 5 days wouldn't even scratch the surface of a flag.
