Returning botter with a few questions

Recommended Posts

I used to bot a lot pre rs3 and then for a bit on osrs. My account got a 2 day ban a couple years which has expired so first question is:

if I have an expired offense does that mean punishments reset so I would just receive another 2 day ban before a perm ban?

2nd question: I am seeing all this stuff about LG being down. Does everyone use this to bot now with normal client being too risky? or is it just added protection against getting caught. How do you get access to LG

3rd question: my account is a main I had before, not too fussed if i lose it but at the same time would like to keep it so not going to go all out, it has a quest cape, i mainly just want to bot the painful stats up for achievement diary cape + money and max stats. What bots are low risk at the moment? Im thinking Rcing to 91 and NMZ bot for max combat for the moment.

thank you and any other advice for a returning botter would be great.

edit: reviewing scripts i think rcing might be too much of a risk for me at the moment, might wait until a quest cape nature method is introduced.

Welcome back! ;)

I'm pretty sure they don't do 2day bans often anymore and the banrates are pretty high right now(as far as i'm concerned with experience in that field).

I never got to use looking glass either but I think i'm going to wait for it to return it sounds real efficient!

lastly I would purchase a premium script because it's really you get what you pay for now a days.. (they'll be a lot more regulated and up to date)

Hope I helped a little as being back and new also

some scripts work well with LG, some work well with the normal client

EX: Tau grand exchange doesn't support LG

some people use LG on other scripts because its kind of (safer)

Runecrafting are high risk but if u know how to bot u can do it but its hard

i recommend waiting for LG if u are just starting out and try to get info around the forums about botting and keep viewing every topic u can see to get as much knowledge as u can get back

look up this guide on how to setup LG

as for the 2 day ban, it really depends, some ppl will get another 2 day ban some will get permanent thats from what i've seen, so i dont suggest u bot on ur main cuz u are just risking it for nothing at this point

All of what I'm saying on this is NOT fact it is entirely opinion based on what i have experienced. (and nobody can tell you the facts but Jagex)

For the answer to your first question, @MySmallBox is right best way would be to create a dummy account and test out scripts.  This is because a 2 year old 2 day ban most likely wouldn't harm you nowadays, but if your IP is flagged that most likely lasts forever.

To the second question LG stands for looking glass and it is a platform that allows the bot to latch on to your normal client or OSBuddy client (or any other third party client) and most of us believe that this is much safer for your account.  Is it truly? Nobody truly knows but I can say from experience it more than likely does help.  If you want to be overly careful just use it and make sure to follow all safe botting practices.  To answer does everyone use it, no.  From my knowledge the #1 and #8 money earners ever using Zulrah Slayer do not use looking glass and have never received a ban.  Finally on this to get access you have to pay $10 a month for VIP-E membership.

Finally for your last question, The NMZ script is amazing with low ban rates would 100% recommend to get combat stats up.  As for making money, this is difficult to say because Jagex does like to target gold farmers.  One safe method (it requires ALOT of capitol and a lot of set up time though) is the GE flipper script from @TacoManStan called TAU Grand Exchange.  Personally i use @Worthy's Zulrah Slayer and it is amazing, it has very high requirements but it gets nearly 2-3M per hour.  Only speaking from personal expeirnce here but i have botted on it 10 hours a day for 2 months now using LG and have received no ban. This is on a Main account (which has lower ban rate from what I hear).  I would 100% recommend this script it is flawless and Worthy does a GREAT job keeping it running flawlessly.

also on LG refer to this :

With the Zulrah bot I have been considering it as I have been legitting zulrah for money. 85 range/mage/hp. My issue would be that I use my mac for all this so obviously it comes with a bit of lag. would i require smooth speeds for the zulrah bot to be efficient or should i still be alright?

What type of a mac do you have?  I actually have a MacBook pro Retina 15 inch Mid 2015 with the graphics card and it runs flawlessly.  I run it as well as like 3-4 other scripts on other accounts (all in LG).

And if you are already lagging, then you would be unable to run it as the script is not built to be lag independent (yet, he plans on adding it) you would expect a lot of deaths if you have lag (I'm not sure how fps lag would work though as I have only ever dealt with connection or world ping lag).

    • Gradle is a build tool used to accelerate developer productivity.

We recently setup a Maven repository (TRiBot Central) to make it easier for scripters to create scripts. Check it out here: https://gitlab.com/trilez-software/tribot/tribot-central/-/packages

Furthermore, we've released a simple Gradle project to make it easy to run TRiBot and develop scripts for it. Check it out here: https://gitlab.com/trilez-software/tribot/tribot-gradle-launcher

The goals of TRiBot Central are to:

      Deliver updates to TRiBot faster

Better organize TRiBot's dependencies (AKA dependancies)

Make it easier to develop scripts for TRiBot

Make it easier to use and run TRiBot

Note: TRiBot won't be able to run scripts from within this project until TRiBot's next release.

    • Hi everyone,

I'd like to thank everyone for their patience in this transition period. Since last week, we've worked out the remaining bugs with this integration.

Some users have still been having issues with connecting their forums account to their Auth0 account. To resolve this, we've imported all forums accounts into Auth0.

Unfortunately, the accounts which were imported today were using an unsupported password hashing algorithm. Hence, random passwords were set during the import.

What does this mean for me?

If you've previously linked your forums account to your Auth0 account, you don't have to do anything. Nothing changes for you.

If you haven't logged in via our new login yet,

Try logging in with your forums email address and the last password you used

If you are unable to login, please use the "Forgot password" tool on the login page:
Follow the instructions to reset your password

    • Hello everyone,

Last week we tried to roll out Auth0 Login, but we lost that battle. Now it's time to win the war!

      Important changes

When logging into the client, you'll now have to enter your Auth0 account credentials instead of your forums credentials

Note: 2FA is still handled through your forums account (for the time being)

      Changes for existing users

You'll have to link your Auth0 account to your forums account here: https://tribot.org/forums/settings/login/?service=11

Auth0 accounts have been created for most existing users. Please use your forums email address and password to login.

      Important notes

Make sure to verify your email address upon creating a new Auth0 account

When we mention your Auth0 account, we mean your account used for auth.tribot.org as displayed below

    • To better support the upcoming changes (TRiBot X, new repository), we're switching our login handler to Auth0. Instead of logging in with the standard form, you'll now be required to login through our Auth0 application.

All existing accounts which have been used within approximately the past year have been imported into Auth0 using the same email and password combination which has been stored on the forums.

What does this mean for users?

Your account credentials are now even more securely stored

You'll be able to login via Facebook, Google, and others in the future

Is there anything users have to do differently now?

Existing users: You'll have to login with the standard login, open your Account Settings, then link your Auth0 account

New users: You'll be redirected to our Auth0 app (auth.tribot.org) where you'll be able to create an account

      Why was this change made?

The new apps we are creating (such as the new repository) aren't able to use the forums to handle user logins

To centralize all user accounts in one area

To ensure that the client login doesn't go down when the forums are having problems

      To speed up our development

      Other considerations

There's no documentation or official support for using Invision Community combined with Auth0, so there are still a few kinks we're working out

We're in the works of creating an account management panel specifically for Auth0 accounts (ETA August)

It's not possible to change email addresses for the time being (this will be resolved this August)

Changing passwords is a weird process for the time being. To change your password, you'll have to use the "Don't remember your password" tool on the Auth0 login page

    • Over the past month, we've been working hard on TRiBot's new repository - a much needed update. This change has been deemed necessary for TRiBot X, and will allow us to really speed up development of all aspects of TRiBot.

Today we are going to share what we've been working on!

Now you must be wondering what kind of features the new repository will have.... well, you'll have to be patient for a little while longer. We're still figuring out various technical aspects so we can't provide answers to all possible questions. We're also focusing on development rather than writing about it so that everyone can get access to our latest developments at lightning speed. I will however answer a few users' questions.

We're planning on a release of this early to mid August, giving users some goodies before TRiBot X's release.

Thank you all for being patient. I hope everyone is excited as much as I am!
