Just because deluxe posted an open source source doesn't mean people aren't entitled to release their own client starter. This client starter doesn't reverse engineer tribot's code. It uses the direct

Are you using decompiled obfuscated class files? i.e. - will it have to be updated weekly?

Runescape updates weekly, not TRiBot.

I have an updater but won't include it in the client starter. It will eventually grab the class names and fields from the cloud.

It only has to be updated when the actual tribot jar updates. Tbh should be kept private :)

I don't farm anymore, so it serves no purpose for me.

TRiBot CLI arguments should've been added ages ago. TRiBot should be goldfarming friendly.

TRiBot updates almost every week, or at least the class files do (they get renamed). I should have said - at least once a week.

Would be sweet if it grabbed the new names from the cloud (y).

Tribot hasn't updated for like a month what are you talking about. Last update was 8/26.

It has an automatic updater which works almost every week, and when it doesn't, the whole community complains.

You don't notice it, but the class files inside the jar are updated.

If the class files inside the jar actually changed, the signature of the jar would also change. It does not.

This is cool. If this is possible would it be possible to start up some osbuddy's and then start up the CLI starter and have it connect via looking glass?
whatever you're doing to select normal client can you just select looking glass instead?
Nice of you to release this will help a lot of people out..

Hate to be the total noob here, but what is different with this  vs the regular client starter?

The client starter doesn't allow for much flexibility for scripters/gold farmers.

A programmer with limited knowledge can create 100 files with the CLI starter, but it is much harder to do that using the normal client starter.

It helps with large scale farm, but there's not much use if you're only farming with 5 accounts.

TRiBot client starter still requires a bit of manual work for each account you're setting up.
If you're running lots of accounts, this can add up and take a lot of time.

@erickho123's tool will make it easier to run lots of accounts with limited work.

With the tribot client closed, go and run a script like you normally would. Take note of everything you do, every time you click, every time you move your mouse.

Now, imagine that was done in one click, even with tribot completely closed. It might save you 30-60s/account. If you're running a mass F2P farm, that time might add up to hours of saved time.

You can recompile the jar file with the updated class names automatically, i got it this morning.

// i plan on using reflection and use the .tribot.jar in your directory already. this is just something i whipped up real fast lol

Not too sure how I feel about this when Deluxe wanted it private, should respect the creator's will imo

It's not like he stole his script or anything, deluxe uploaded it open source didn't he? Ericko just made it work again.
Once you post something open source you can't exactly change it to private. It's a pretty handy tool and if Deluxe wanted it private he wouldn't have posted it. Unless Deluxe didn't post it open source and just sent Ericko the open source to use then yeh that would be fucked up.

I'm not saying erick is breaking rules by posting it, however it is disrespectful and unethical when Deluxe changed his mind about it being public and clearly stated that he wanted it private. Fixing it and keeping it for himself, which he initially did, would imo be perfectly fine as it would still be private. But to later release it to the public when he doesn't need it, going against the author's will and barely giving any cred to the creator while doing so (I noticed the last line but everything all lowercase same font size not bold, not thanking or emphasizing Deluxe's work), to seemingly get easy rep is low in my opinion.

Yeah I get what you're saying, How do you feel about people who post open source api and then scripters use that open source in their own premium script? I mean theyre selling something with another person's open source in it while the person who created it gets nothing. Open source is open source. You can't just change it to private and expect people to follow that. I can't see deluxe having that much of a problem with this, I can easily imagine he would shit talk the fuck out of someone who tried to get people to stop using their open source script because they changed their mind and want it to be private. I might be biased cuz deluxe isnt exactly the nicest person and this tool would be handy for a lot of people but hey that's my 2 cents on the morality lol. Inb4 Ericko comes back saying he had permission anyway.

    • TRiBot 12 Release Candidate

The TRiBot team has been hard at work creating the last major version of TRiBot before the TRiBot X release. We've noticed many problems with TRiBot 11 with a lot of users preferring TRiBot 10 over 11. We've heard you, so we took TRiBot 10, added the new features introduced with 11, introduced some other new things, and created TRiBot 12. So without further adieu, here's TRiBot 12.

    • Gradle is a build tool used to accelerate developer productivity.

We recently setup a Maven repository (TRiBot Central) to make it easier for scripters to create scripts. Check it out here: https://gitlab.com/trilez-software/tribot/tribot-central/-/packages

Furthermore, we've released a simple Gradle project to make it easy to run TRiBot and develop scripts for it. Check it out here: https://gitlab.com/trilez-software/tribot/tribot-gradle-launcher

The goals of TRiBot Central are to:

      Deliver updates to TRiBot faster

Better organize TRiBot's dependencies (AKA dependancies)

Make it easier to develop scripts for TRiBot

Make it easier to use and run TRiBot

Note: TRiBot won't be able to run scripts from within this project until TRiBot's next release.

    • Hi everyone,

I'd like to thank everyone for their patience in this transition period. Since last week, we've worked out the remaining bugs with this integration.

Some users have still been having issues with connecting their forums account to their Auth0 account. To resolve this, we've imported all forums accounts into Auth0.

Unfortunately, the accounts which were imported today were using an unsupported password hashing algorithm. Hence, random passwords were set during the import.

What does this mean for me?

If you've previously linked your forums account to your Auth0 account, you don't have to do anything. Nothing changes for you.

If you haven't logged in via our new login yet,

Try logging in with your forums email address and the last password you used

If you are unable to login, please use the "Forgot password" tool on the login page:
Follow the instructions to reset your password

    • Hello everyone,

Last week we tried to roll out Auth0 Login, but we lost that battle. Now it's time to win the war!

      Important changes

When logging into the client, you'll now have to enter your Auth0 account credentials instead of your forums credentials

Note: 2FA is still handled through your forums account (for the time being)

      Changes for existing users

You'll have to link your Auth0 account to your forums account here: https://tribot.org/forums/settings/login/?service=11

Auth0 accounts have been created for most existing users. Please use your forums email address and password to login.

      Important notes

Make sure to verify your email address upon creating a new Auth0 account

When we mention your Auth0 account, we mean your account used for auth.tribot.org as displayed below
      • 81 replies
    • To better support the upcoming changes (TRiBot X, new repository), we're switching our login handler to Auth0. Instead of logging in with the standard form, you'll now be required to login through our Auth0 application.

All existing accounts which have been used within approximately the past year have been imported into Auth0 using the same email and password combination which has been stored on the forums.

What does this mean for users?

Your account credentials are now even more securely stored

You'll be able to login via Facebook, Google, and others in the future

Is there anything users have to do differently now?

Existing users: You'll have to login with the standard login, open your Account Settings, then link your Auth0 account

New users: You'll be redirected to our Auth0 app (auth.tribot.org) where you'll be able to create an account

      Why was this change made?

The new apps we are creating (such as the new repository) aren't able to use the forums to handle user logins

To centralize all user accounts in one area

To ensure that the client login doesn't go down when the forums are having problems

      To speed up our development

      Other considerations

There's no documentation or official support for using Invision Community combined with Auth0, so there are still a few kinks we're working out

We're in the works of creating an account management panel specifically for Auth0 accounts (ETA August)

It's not possible to change email addresses for the time being (this will be resolved this August)

Changing passwords is a weird process for the time being. To change your password, you'll have to use the "Don't remember your password" tool on the Auth0 login page
