Bug Report Guidelines

Nullable

Recommended Posts

Please follow this process when making a bug report. Failure to write adequate reports may result in post removal.

This section is for bug reports with the client, tribot store website, or other tribot products. It is NOT for script issues or bug reports, nor is it for support.

Before you post:

  • Ensure your issue is not user error by reading the guides in our help section.
  • Search for your issue on the forums.
  • Look in this section to ensure you're not posting a duplicate report. If you have any more information, add it to the thread that was already posted.

Writing the report:

  • Start off with a brief summary of what the issue seems to be.
  • Include a detailed explanation of the issue from your perspective. Write out what you did, what happened, and what you expected.
  • Tell us whether it happens 100% of the time, sometimes, not often, or just once. This is very helpful.
  • Include a copy of your bot and client debugs when the issue happens.
  • Include a screenshot if you can.

You can also include a report generated by the client itself. It does not replace the need for the above, but it can sometimes be helpful. To generate one from the client:

  1. Click Tools In the top menu bar on the Tribot client with the bug
  2. Click Generate Bug Report
  3. Click Open In System Explorer on the pop up window
  4. Drag the created zip folder into your bug report post

Things to avoid:

  • Avoid making assumptions about the issue. For example, instead of saying "repo is broken", say "I clicked the start button in the client, the script manager appeared, and none of the scripts I purchased loaded in the lefthand panel like they usually do. This includes the community scripts I have active".
  • Avoid assigning your own priority to it. Instead of saying that it needs to be fixed NOW or ASAP, tell us how it affects you and how you use the bot. Please do not exaggerate or your report can be ignored.
  • Avoid heated language. We know bugs can be frustrating. If your report is hostile in any way, it will be removed and you will be temporarily or permanently banned depending on the severity. There is zero tolerance for hostility. This is a section meant for you to help us if you choose to do so. It will be kept professional.
