edit: switched to dueling ring and now it works fine!

I have had this happen with slayer ring as well. Died at drakes wasn't sure why so watched the script when I went back and was doing the same thing.

Free-farm abyssal demons in the Kourend Catacombs is unusable as the bot keeps detecting players close-by (despite the extra hopping option turned off) even if they aren't doing abyssal demons and goes to safespot to hop. Script didn't kill one abyssal demon in 50 minutes while it kept hoping worlds sometimes even if nobody is doing abyssal demons (maybe 1-2 players doing greater demons).

I need more information to help you - what tasks? It's usually because you started the script at a task, but there might be something I've missed. Either way, new patch resolves a number of things that might help.

  • Fixed an issue with navigating through the Ferox Enclave Soul Wars portal
  • Improved the intelligence of the world hopper when players speak to us
  • Fixed Abyssal Demon (Catacombs of Kourend) free farming
  • Sped up item re-equipping after using a 2-handed special attack weapon
  • Improved the reliability of equipping a ring or amulet before using it to teleport

Hey @Arkjust started using the script now. Is there any reason the teleports can't use my POH for majority of teles where available? (using POH tablets)

I have a fully upgraded Ornate Jewellery Box, currently for teleports it's using the Ring of Wealth (Monastery, Edgeville etc) and Games Necklace (Burthorpe, Barb Assault etc) when my POH has this already.

Edit: Just come across an issue, I set banking for House Tab -> Pool -> Mounted Glory -> Edgeville. But now it's sat in my house trying to calculate the bank path. I realise I don't have a mounted glory, because it's replaced by the upgraded Achievement Room which has the jewellery box, which has all my teles such as that. I also have a Nexus Portal which has Varrock/GE teleport right there. If the banking via POH/Pool could look for a Nexus Varrock (GE) teleport, that would work and be realistic?

  • NEW: Added support for looting Champion Scrolls - all are supported, just use the optimised looting feature
  • Further improvements to the "world hop when spoken to" feature
  • Rebalanced the use of teleports for more efficient travelling

There's a few reasons that make coding the script to use custom house teleport options very complex - I'll be gradually adding more house-teleport related options available, but for the now the script manages very well with using teleportation items to navigate :)

Thanks for the quick response Ark. Done almost 10 tasks so far and for sure the script works great. It would be a brilliant QOL feature for sure if the teleport/banking methods could accomodate an upgraded POH, by supporting Nexus and Jewellery Box teles etc. Look forward to it hopefully in the near future! :D Haha

I've just this moment come across an actual bug or two though. Just got a Blue Dragon task, I already have the Dusty Key on my Steel Key Ring. But rather than withdrawing it, it's gone to kill the jailer for the key. Script then got stuck trying to use the Jail Key again on the NPC - so it tele'd out with the games necklace to Burthorpe, ran back to the dungeon and ran round again - then tried to do the same thing, I intervened and it then talked to the NPC, retrieved the Dusty Key but then tele'd out? It deposited my inven (got rid of the jail key I guess) and re-withdrew it all again at GE with the dusty key. Now running back for a 3rd time...

TL;DR just needs the bug fix on using jail key on NPC + Steel Key Ring support also would be a winner to help on tasks in Taverley Dungeon. :)

(this is on v5.17 you just released btw)

The Steel Key Ring isn't supported (due to the way varbits work and detecting what keys are on it) - just remove the key from the keyring and let the script run from the start :)

Hey Ark,

Had chance to try use this a bit more. I'm finding some ineffiencies that could be better handled, thought some ideas may help improve the script overall?

  • Support for Magic (just got a Steel Dragon task and realised no support for Magic, only Melee+Ranged). Logic could just be options to select magic spell to use in GUI, the script then pulls the runes (Rune Pouch be good support too if possible) and uses same logic for Ranged in safe spots.
  • For some reason the script took a Dragon Dagger, Amulet of Glory, Games Necklace, POH tele tabs and Ring of Wealth in my inven. Seems a waste of inven space, not sure why I need all of these?
  • Select spec weapon be handy? Related to above, noticed it wants the DDS use as spec. I was taking Abyssal Dagger as my equipped wep, which I'd rather use for spec - and saves a further inven spot.
  • Getting there teles: It used the glory to Karamja tele. My POH has a jewellery box, I know which mentioned before a few days ago for Glory teleports if needed. My POH Mounted Glory seems to have been ignored though, but is configured to use it for banking @ Edgeville? Using Tai Bwo Wanna tele scrolls is a much closer option, also Fairy Ring CKR is very close too.
  • Support for using the southern Brimhaven Dungeon entrance (one that requires one-off 5000 trading sticks to unlock, this equates to ~40k gp in buying Jade gems from GE and selling to the NPC in Tai Bwo, so very cheap and easy to unlock). This is directly west of the Tai Bai Wannai village - I have this unlocked, but the script withdrew ~2k gp to use the northern entrance (another inven space wasted).
  • The above also negates the need to bring a Dragon Axe in inven, as you don't need to cut anything down using the southern entrance to Brimhaven Dungeon. Another inven spot saved.

Always happy to improve the script - just remember that the script has to work on all accounts with all stats/financial availability, so it's natural that there may be some compromise on efficiency relative to your high-level account. I will be getting through requests gradually as I find time :) 

1) Eventually I will add Magic support + Rune Pouch support

2) It explains why it takes every item in the debug while banking :) 

3) You can select your special attack weapon, it is in the GUI. Just pick what you want, every weapon is supported.

4) These scrolls are 7.5k each - I have to balance the script around all accounts and account types. I'll have a think about how I could add this - though it'll be dependent on 5.

5) I'll see whether this can be detected with a VarBit change, otherwise there would be no way of me knowing if this was unlocked from the bank. I suspect it can be. If so, I'll be happy to add it :)

Thanks @Ark - the script has been working great though, it must've been a mammoth task getting this working as well as it does.

1. That'd be great! Not sure for simplicity sake, if it be easy to code logically just in the GUI selecting the spell - and the script just grabs the runes (in Rune Pouch when able) and uses the same Ranged safe spots etc.

2. I'll take a look in the log on the next one it does this! :)

3. Must've missed that option, so will have a look - thanks!

4. Yeah appreciate the scrolls are a tad expensive, but it's overall not that bad. Could make it a checkbox option to enable? Personal preference would be the Dramen Staff for Fairy Ring CKR as that's also very close and free. Even better my POH teles (fairy ring, jewellery box and mounted glory available in POH). Otherwise even the same logic it uses for banking; using POH mounted glory as it wanted Karamja which is of course on the Glory rather than using inven spot for it (with it grabbing POH tabs).

5. Hopefully so, be a great help and more efficient/realistic when it's unlocked :D

 

Edit: Bug report :) Slayer Helmet says supported (which I have in my bank) and it's buying Earmuffs from GE and using them instead?
Edit2: Definitely bugged. Another task it's using a spiny helmet when I have the slayer helm in my bank still.

Just to add to the above that merged in my original post - another bug just come across today twice, it's confusing the Dragonfire Shield (75 Def requirement) I had in my bank (but don't have reqs for) with the Anti-Dragon Shield. The script stopped as it kept trying to equip it. If I pause the script and equip the Anti-Dragon Shield, then resume it works fine.

The Slayer Helmet situation you described is not a script bug, just make sure you have a slayer task set when you add the Slayer Helmet to your Equipment loadout. It's the way the game works with regards to storing data - for some reason the Slayer Helmet's state changes when a task isn't set.

As for the Dragonfire Shield - just don't have a shield you can't equip in your bank. It'll use the best shield it can find because that's what most people would want. I think you can also just add the antifire shield to your equipment loadout for dragons if you want to force it to use that.

New problem: Script isn't bringing prayer potions to brutal black dragons (free farm). I have prayer pots turned on, use prayer "on" black dragons, and tried bringing both custom and regular amounts. Also I'm curious if the script is able to bring blowpipe, it was withdrawing anti-dragon shield and blowpipe is a 2 handed weapon.

Which ring is is trying to rub?

This would simply make setup be too complicated for most users - there are a lot of tasks! The current system on having specific loadouts for monster types should work for most use-cases - what did you have in mind specifically? 

 

Update:

Pushed Patch V5.12:

  • Now more intelligently responds to players around us speaking - will now not hop if certain whitelisted phrases are said
  • Added proper support for the Dust Devil superior in the Catacombs of Kourend
  • Will now correctly run away when trying to restock at Dust Devil tasks
  • Improved safe spot finding when using rings such as the ring of wealth or slayer ring to teleport out of tasks
  • The script should now more intelligently identify when it is being attacked while attempting to teleport
  • Changed the weighting of a number of teleport options to better suit ironman accounts where needed

Pushed Patch V5.13:

  • Fixed an issue with inappropriately using the Ring of Duelling to get to Vannaka when this was not intended
  • Upgraded a failsafe for getting through accidental chat dialogues
  • Fixed an issue with finding a safespot if the safespot was within our usual combat area

The script should now perfectly hop, teleport and avoid combat as appropriate when teleporting with items and needing to worldhop.


Also I attached the zip file of the bug I had awhile ago, though it's not relevant anymore to me because I have 77 slayer now. Ended up blocking black dragons at the time.

Send me your debug and GUI setup - it's likely you've just missed something or selected an incorrect setting, as many users are farming BBDs with the script at the moment without issues.

This is a Tribot bug caused by the game update - it's been fixed, just restart and update your client to the newest Tribot version.
